“From an archaeohistorical standpoint, not much is known in re: to veracity of claims made by the Children of the GAMI or their agents. Much remaining discourse is apocryphal in nature and/or mythologized. Curious situation where science (esp. robotics, machine learning, mechano-duplication, biomechanical interfaces, etc.) enjoys revered status among CotGAMI and wider tribal community while practical application is unknown to them or at best considerably misunderstood.”

“Physical contact has not been formally made with CotGAMI. Originally due to impracticality/impossibility, Archive policy is now one of deliberate non-interference in their affairs so long as this remains a viable path & stays in keeping w/ Archive and Archivist goals, esp. in re: to resource shortages, ware prices, superconductor supply, etc. One notable incursion by CotGAMI member into Archive 72 yrs. prior to current entry date. Believed to be accidental in nature, although subject never confirmed this to Archivists at the time. Subject was suffering from severe dehydration, malnourishment, skin conditions in keeping with what tribals have termed ‘glow sickness.’ Included skin that had seemingly been charred, although no other signs of burn injury. Severe dermatitis, blackening of tissue, but w/out any other signs of necrosis. Simply seemed as though subject’s skin was being removed from his body one cell at a time.”

“Much deliberation in re: to best method of data storage going forward. Some attempts have been made to house data in separate servers. Logistically fine for now, but will become cost prohibitive as we scale up. No ability to physically interact w/ environment, of course, as is the case at present. Currently housing all data/running all sims here in central Archive server. Looking into data storage in line w/ CotGAMI mythology. Met w/ derision by some, calling idea ‘religious fever dream,’ ‘biomechanical alchemy,’ etc. I posit that their mythology might be founded on fact. That’s all. Also running diagnostics on body modifications, genomic alterations to ensure necessary adaptations for survival in outside world.”

“Wider tribal community sociologically approaching something like ‘mutual aid’ or even ‘anarcho-collectivism’ in the parlance of the beforetimes. This does of course vary from region to region, and surveillance has not been established to an extent where inner workings of nationstates (if they could be called that) can be examined in detail. With that said, evidence of scattered serfdoms as well, fascistic hotspots supported by legionnaires, even one curious group purporting itself to be the last governmental remnant of the nationstate that once ruled most of the continent before the collapse. But where the CotGAMI flourish so too does anarcho-collectivism. Very little social stratification, as all are considered to be capable of finding and attaining ‘the crossing-over point between meat and metal.’ More investigation (possible infiltration?) is needed.”

“Much of CotGAMI philosophy/religiosity revolves around death, esp. overcoming it. Not unique to this religion, but their approach is distinct and worthy of mention & study. Their proposed afterlife is not an imagined heaven but a potentially achievable goal here on Earth. Nor is it an afterlife per se, but more of a continuation. Much debate re: feasibility of their plan to implant consciousness into robotic body: if this is possible and what costs/drawbacks of this would be, alongside benefits, of course. Their mythology looks to pre-collapse tech, not knowing that many of these companies were selling things they knew wouldn’t work. Late-stage tech-capitalism’s snake oil salesmen made millions in uploading fees without needing to prove their tech worked, so long as they could dangle the possibility of it working in an imagined future. As always, more research is needed.”
